Dusk to dawn
If you go down to the woods today, you're sure of...Demdike Stare. Modern Lovers strip away the exotica to construct a deeply out-there pair of post-techno gems - the unsettling, rattling Dawn version's remote pounding particularly catches these ears, but Dusk's segue from beautifully grinding menace into spitting, shimmering tone poem is pretty special too.
Hard to dispute the great Philip Sherburne's breathless assessment...
