Orchestra for the new century
It's as old as the hills (well, 1996, anyway...) & very, very well known. But this Innerzone Orchestra classic still sounds indisputably, absolutely modern - check out Carl Craig's vision of cosmic techno jazz for the new century: Bug in the Bass Bin (monstrous 11-minute version from Sessions [also here]; also around in a less expansive version on the fairly legendary - & certainly fiendishly hard-to-find - Programmed).
A less well known, & even jazzier, outing from the same album: Basic Math.
