Subtle sculptures

Footnote to earlier post on Under the Spire: feast on Jannick Schou's fine, immersive ambient drones here (
The Haze In Your Eyes EP) & here (Autumn) & below ("little demo" on SoundCloud)...

"As I'm in a really productive period right now I've decided to go ahead and upload some of my finished projects to bandcamp. The Haze In Your Eyes is one of these projects.

Here's a little information about the release:""The Haze In Your Eyes" consists of four tracks I recorded from Decemeber '09 to February '10. The pieces are all composed of minimal and icy drones as well as field recordings. The songs were made using processed piano recordings and analogue synths.

There's no overarching idea or concept behind the pieces though they all came out with a somewhat similar sound and feeling. I hope you'll enjoy these four subtle sculptures of micro-drones and field recordings."

Jannick Schou > The Haze In Your Eyes (from The Haze In Your Eyes, self-released)

"Autumn is a stunning piece of ambient microsound and it flows along in a really pleasant and gorgeous way that really makes you feel like floating. The piece gradually evolves through small and subtle changes in timbre, tonality and dynamic. You’ll hear (what sounds like) melancholic strings fading into uplifting drones and much more! The piece is made using nothing but processed piano and guitar recordings and the overall tone is rather dark."

Little demo I've been working on. Nothing too out of the ordinary." [!]
