Apocalyptic lovers

"
Cavernous Dub, Tearjerking Ballads, Apocalyptic Lovers, Gangsta House, Smack hop, Dancehall Shoegazing, No Wave Blues, Slo-fi Soul, The Stars, The Oceans, Love, Lust, Loss and Sensuality"

King Midas Sound's Waiting For You is one of the albums of the year, clearly. Smearing woozy ethereality over a dubstep with the emphasis on dub is unanticipated - & often mesmerising.

Its accumulating intensity is highlighted in the spacey, chiming Too Long, featured alongside an illuminating interview with The FADER earlier this week.

All of KMS's earlier Dub Heavy - Heats & Ghosts EP - which includes the, ironically, original Too Long Dub - & their Surround Me track from the outstanding first Box of Dub compilation can be heard in this Spotify playlist, by the way. No surprise that the new version & the dub mix together beautifully (hear them together via SoundCloud below)...& whichever of the countless original Troddings that seems to be cited in Too Long ought to fit too.
